Job description

We are looking for  Sales Manager for Angola , Southern Africa 
   
This is a leadership position. The Sales Manager is supposed to lead from the front. 

He will be accountable for sales, collection and profitability for the entire sales team. 

He should be able to lead a small team of sales executives, sales assistants for field sales through: (a) dealer/ distributor/ informal markets that is spread across Angola. (b) organized retail; e.g., supermarket chains and large format retails present in Angola, (c) dealer/ distributor/informal channels present in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC        

Job Description / Responsibilities 

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Achieve sales target for each market segment
  • Manage the team and lead from the front, including daily market visit
  • Recommend, achieve management approval and implement product placement and promotion to enhance sales volume and improve margin
  • Stay up to date in collection and receivable management and focus on cash sales to generate sufficient liquidity to manage day to day operation for the business
  • Open to travel in the territories in Angola and DRC
  • Generate and share real-time feedback from market and implement effective field intelligence strategy
  • Other related activities to improve market share and profitability of the division

Required Candidate profile

Qualification 

 Graduate with at least 10 years of Experience preferable in the FMCG Industry. 

Experience in African market will be an added advantage.

 Advance qualification is sales will be added advantage. 

Pl. note that, this is a sales position; we are not looking at marketing person. ONLY FIELD SALES EXPERIENCE WILL BE COUNTED 

Desired profile of the candidate


Ideal candidate should have worked in similar position in a reputed FMCG company, particularly in tea and coffee segment. Good networking skill is important. 
Should be a team player. Experience in Africa would be advantage. Should be open to extensive travel. 
Proficiency in Portuguese and French will be added advantage. Should have extensive field sales experience in a tough market condition.
Location of posting Should be willing to work in Angola.
